Our Office
The Australian Office Taipei represents the interests of Australia and Australians in Taiwan. The make-up of the Office reflects the multi-faceted nature of the Australia-Taiwan relationship. Located in the President International Tower in Taipei, the office includes the Commercial Section, a Consular and Administrative Section, a Media and Culture Unit, and an Economic and Policy Section. We also work with The Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Taipei to promote business ties between Australia and Taiwan.

Consular and Administrative Services
The Australian Office Taipei provides services relating to passports and a limited number of notarial services. Our notarial services include certifying copies of original documents, witnessing signatures for certain documents, and administering affidavits, oaths or affirmations. For more information on passport services, please visit our passports page.
You can make an appointment to access these services through our online appointment system. Please note a booking is required - we are unable to provide walk-in assistance.
Visas
We are unable to assist with enquiries relating to visas or ongoing visa applications. Our office in Seoul, Republic of Korea (South Korea) manages visa services for clients located in Taiwan.

Consular assistance
If you require consular / passport assistance while in Taiwan you can visit or call the Australian Office (AO) in Taipei. The assistance we provide is guided by the Consular Services Charter.
Consular services are provided on weekdays, between 8:45am and 5:15pm, except for public holidays. Telephone enquiries can be made on +886 2 8725 4100. Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected]
DFAT also provides Australians with emergency consular services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can contact the Consular Emergency Centre on 1300 555 135 within Australia or +61 2 6261 3305 from outside Australia or SMS +61 421 269 080.
