The 9-11 September 2013 Asia Pacific Cities Summit in Kaohsiung

The Asia Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) is a biennial event aimed at promoting economic growth in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. A Brisbane City Council initiative, this year marks the 17th year of the event. The APCS is a platform for attendees to communicate and exchange their viewpoints and knowledge regarding business growth, investment and economic outcomes. The event will also facilitate business matching opportunities, and has a dedicated program for young professionals and social entrepreneurs.

The 2013 summit will be held in the Kaohsiung Arena. The theme of this year’s APCS is “Reshaping the Urbanomics of Cities – City Challenges, City Solutions”, which challenges participates to seek a fresh vision, come up with bold new ideas and strengthen strategic networking to face the urban challenges of the 21st century.


Keynote speakers at the event will include Cher Wang (Chairperson, HTC Corporation and VIA Technologies), and Ken Livingstone (former Mayor, London). The agenda for the three days’ event includes many other panel discussions and networking opportunities highlighting issues of concern to the business and civic communities in the Asia Pacific Region.
