Hsin-Hsuan Hsieh from Taiwan has been shortlisted as one of the 18 finalists for Tourism Australia’s “Best Jobs in the World”; Australian Representative Kevin Magee offers his congratulation.

'The Australian Office is delighted with the news that a Taiwanese woman is one of the 18 finalists in Tourism Australia's Best Jobs of the World Contest. "This is great news” said Representative Kevin Magee. Mr Magee personally rang Ms Hsin-Hsuan Hsieh to congratulate her on making it to the finals. “I congratulate Ms Hsieh on making it to the finals, and hope she will charm the judges, and showcase the natural beauty of Australia to people in Taiwan."

Australia and Taiwan share close people-to-people links. Last year over 22,000 young Taiwanese travelled to Australia on the Working Holiday Maker scheme, making Taiwan the second largest source country of young people travelling to Australia on the scheme. The Australian Working Holiday Maker program is to provide an opportunity for young people between 18 to 30 years of age to broaden their horizons, travel, make new friends and learn new skills in Australia. Ms Hsieh can also look forward to experiencing the unique culture and lifestyle of Australia.

Ms Hsin-Hsuan Hsieh applied to be a Wildlife Caretaker in South Australia. If successful, she will win an AU$100,000 package (equivalent to NT$3 million) that will include the opportunity live on South Australia's ruggedly beautiful Kangaroo Island for six months. For Ms Hsin-Hsuan Hsieh who has not yet visited Australia, it would be a once in a lifetime experience. Her upbeat video entry won the judges over with pictures and footage of her adventurous outdoor activities, including bungee jumping and horse riding.
