Celebration of 2013 NAIDOC Week in Taiwan

The Australian film “Satellite Boy” is the first feature film by Australian director and writer Catriona McKenzie. With its stunning depiction of Australian’s landscape and indigenous culture, it was a perfect film to launch this year’s NAIDOC Week celebrations in Taiwan and a great advertisement for Taiwanese filmmakers interested in shooting films in Australia or working together with Australia’s film talents.

Ahead of its screening during the 2013 Taipei Film Festival, Australian Office Acting Representative Dr Nicholas Rodgers hosted a pre-screening reception on 5 July 2013 that featured performances by Taiwanese indigenous Amis tribe musicians Amour Lada and Banai Nagao.
